Types of carpets

Wool & wool blends

Natural texture with a springy feel. Compare wool twists and blends in person, and ask which construction suits the amount of wear in your room.

Easy-care twist

A practical starting point for an everyday family space. Some polypropylene ranges have specific stain-cleaning benefits; check the care instructions for the exact carpet.

Soft, deeper pile

That sink-your-toes-in feeling for restful spaces. A deeper pile can show footprints and shading, so look at a sample from different directions.

Loop, stripe & pattern

Choose subtle woven texture or make the floor the feature. Pattern changes how joins are planned; loop pile needs extra thought if pets catch it with their claws.

Common questions

Which carpet should I choose for stairs?

Start with a range rated for stair use and frequent foot traffic. A firm, suitable pile and correctly specified underlay matter more than simply choosing the thickest carpet. We can discuss the shape of your stairs when arranging a measure.

Is wool better than synthetic carpet?

They solve different needs. Wool offers natural texture and resilience; certain synthetic ranges make everyday stain care simpler. Compare construction, room suitability, feel and the whole fitted cost together.

Will a pale carpet work in a busy home?

It can, but colour is only part of the choice. Look at the fibre, stain-care guidance and the traffic through the room. A heathered shade may be more forgiving visually than a very plain colour.
